Post-Abortion Healing
Helping women, men, and families recover after an abortion decision.
After abortion support
We understand the complex emotions surrounding an abortion decision. Whether you recently had an abortion or it’s been years and you’ve not yet told a soul, this is our message to you. We see you. We are here for you. Individual peer counseling or a support group can be of great help in healing any pain or regret that may exist.
How do I know I need healing?
Do you feel like you are alone with the emotional pain you are feeling?
Do you lack the freedom to share your abortion experience with others?
Do you expect bad things to happen to you – or believe you do not deserve good things to happen to you – as punishment for your abortion?
Hope and Healing
If you are having conflicting feelings about your abortion, the road to freedom and healing starts by simply sharing your story with someone who cares. That’s why we’re here. No matter what your story is, you will always be met with compassion and a listening ear. See below for more information on our abortion recovery support group.
Abortion Recovery Support Group
Our Abortion Recovery Support Group meets once a month at the Blue Ridge Pregnancy Life Center (3701 Old Forest Rd, Lynchburg VA). This is an inclusive, non-judgemental environment with biblical undertones for women to gather for their first or next step toward a life unhindered by the chains of their past abortion. We will meet on the 4th Wednesday of every month.
Unhindered Groups Schedule:
Note schedule may be subject to change, so please be sure to check in for schedule changes. Click below to stay up to date and receive more information about participating in the support group.
About Unhindered
Our Mission
We exist to blaze the path for women and men to give a name to their grief and move forward in healing.
Who We Are
Unhindered is a faith-based grief, loss, and trauma recovery program. We aim to provide a safe, non-judgmental space for both women and men to feel, express, and work through whatever feelings they may have in regard to an abortion in their past. We welcome participants regardless of age, race, income, nationality, religious affiliation, disability, or time passed since the abortion(s).
We provide education on abortion and pregnancy options. We do not refer for or perform abortions or provide emergency contraceptives. Contact us to learn more.
