Education

The Life Center

The Blue Ridge Life Center exists to provide pregnancy support for parenting patients who confirm their pregnancy through our medical clinic by supporting them practically and emotionally through education and resource support.

Pregnancy Support

Many people who want to parent may have questions and concerns about parenting, continuing their education, financial stability, and other topics. We can help address your parenting concerns and help you find the resources you need.

Pregnancy Foundations (PF)

Once your pregnancy is confirmed through our medical clinic and you have decided to parent, you will have the option to attend our Pregnancy Foundations classes (PF). These classes are more than a resource for education; rather, they’re a safe place to connect with others in similar seasons. We also provide practical support, such as boutique items, diapers/wipes for baby’s first year of life (12 pick-ups – once/month), and a baby shower, to help offset the finances that come with having a baby.

Our teachers are made up of an array of medical professionals, and we also have volunteer mentors from the community in attendance who are there to support and equip you.

If you are interested in attending our PF classes, please let your patient advocate know during your medical appointment or call us at (434) 528-4321.

What our Life Center Clients say

I felt very supported. We love the benefits but also that it made me feel less anxious and less alone in pregnancy and as a woman.”

The classes are definitely helpful and useful. You learn things you’ll never really know. They offer plenty of resources. The facility itself is very clean and smells good. They are a wonderful place, group, & people.”

Great educational pregnancy classes. Plus food & childcare. This is my second time [taking classes at] Blue Ridge Pregnancy and it’s a definite recommendation.”

They offered pregnancy classes that were very helpful. They had professionals that were able to explain the ins and outs of pregnancy, labor, and postpartum as well as info on feeding baby after. 10/10 experience.”

“I really enjoyed this class and appreciate all the knowledge I got throughout these 4 weeks. Everyone was super nice and helpful & the food was enjoyable too. I also appreciate them having a daycare. Thank you guys for being awesome for us moms.”

These classes have been such a blessing. Not only did we have great learning material but it also gave me the opportunity to get out of the house and look forward to doing something weekly. I also gained a lot of new mom friends and people I will be able to talk to after birth. I would recommend this program to any mom. I am looking forward to all of the other programs that Blue Ridge Pregnancy Center offers!”
